Dirty Laundry.web is a 10-episode mini fashion web series, with each episode around 2 minutes, created for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts by Sia Rass, a content creator and producer based between Montreal and Toronto. Inspired by the work of Petra Collins, this series captures brief stories featuring women confronting their own vulnerabilities. We set out to create authentic, raw content that contrasts with the often polished, flawless image presented on social media. The stories tackle social themes and toxic traits that shape our lives, aiming to inspire personal reflection and open, honest conversations.
For this series, my role as a stylist was to create looks that reflect both the characters' psychology and the storyline’s progression. Working closely from the script, I ensured that each outfit told its own story, whether through a color symbolizing a hidden emotion, a striking contrast between characters, or a subtle evolution across episodes. Set in Montreal, I collaborated with local brands such as Eliza Faulkner, Odeyalo, and Frank and Oak to showcase Montreal’s fashion scene for the first episode. Later, we developed an exclusive partnership with New York brand The Kit by Daniel Vosovic (finalist of Project Runway season 2). My creative process began with mood boards exploring different palettes and textures, leading to the creation of looks that were both visually aligned with each episode’s narrative and reflective of each character’s psychology and challenges—all while meeting the project requirements.

On the occasion of Montreal’s MAD Festival (Fashion Art Entertainment), I had the opportunity to work with Bohème Vintage for Marilyn Fitoussi, the head stylist of the series Emily in Paris. In collaboration with Bohème Vintage, we curated a selection of vintage pieces that align with both the aesthetic of the series and Marilyn's personal style for various events and public appearances.
As part of this collaboration, I selected vintage clothing from Bohème Vintage’s extensive stock (+ 4000 pieces, a 30-year collection) to create curated racks specially prepared for Marilyn. My role involved identifying pieces that matched not only her style but also the bold, colorful visual world of Emily in Paris. I also suggested looks for certain characters in the series, drawing on their personalities and narrative development. This work allowed me to combine my passion for vintage fashion with my expertise in styling.
I have also carried out personal restyling projects, in particular for a close friend. This project involved completely rethinking her style without loosing her essence, creating mood boards and putting together looks that were tailored to her personality and needs.
My approach was to understand her expectations and accompany her in a true style transformation. I created a mood board inspired by her lifestyle, tastes, and environment, and then we built a new wardrobe together that fully reflected her. Her goal was to have a timeless, functional, and quality wardrobe without constantly needing to buy new pieces. My work wasn't just about restyling; I wanted to respect her style, renew her closet, and create looks using pieces she already had. For me, styling shouldn't be about disguise; it should be closest to what we aspire to be and what we are. I love guiding, accompanying, and suggesting, never imposing. This project allowed me to explore a more personal approach to styling, where emotion and self-expression are at the heart of the creative process.
These digital look montages from 2020 showcase my early styling work, featuring iconic brands that helped shape my understanding of fashion aesthetics. Today, I’m drawn to more exclusive, under-the-radar labels, exploring emerging designers and independent creators for uniquely inspiring choices.
